Welcome to the Cave of Dragonflies guestbook.
Yeah, but the thing is there's nowhere to train befor the Elite Four except where, Victory Road (level 43ish) and Three island (35ish).
why not simplify the shiny rate to 1/8192?
I wouldn't say R/B/Y were harder, even if the Pokémon were two levels higher; they had godawful/nonexistent AI, after all, with Agatha's Gengar sitting there wasting its time with Dream Eater when you aren't sleeping and so on.
I found Cynthia pretty challenging as far as champions go, but then again I'm always undertrained; I think my Pokémon were somewhere in the lower fifties when I beat her in Diamond, and in Platinum they were around or under level 50.
Firered is hard if you try to beat the Elite Four with Pokémon around level fifty. If not, it's easy.
Red and Blue were harder. Much harder,
What about Cynthia/Shirona? I found her to be a pushover, (I beat her with my strongest Pokémon twelve levels lower than her strongest.) but a lot of people say she's really strong and hard.
For that quiz, the shiny encounter rate is 2/16384.
i have leafgreen and I found it VERY hard. victory road=killer. i got through but didn't save, then lost to Lorelei and turned off my game without thinking. I just gave up after that.
You know that weird guy in Mauville that counts random things? Apparently by the time I got him I had saved 1347 times. Ten less and it would have been epic. :(
Am I the only one that found Firered hard?
I really like the plot in this one. Honestly, it has a waaay better script, and it is much longer than the first.
It gets repetitive afterwards. But, there are a few little things that involve absolutely having to go somewhere.
I just saved my Firered, and the numbers for my Pokédex were 13, and the time was 13:13. My favourite number three times. Uncanny, eh?
The only part(s) that are tedious are after you beat the game. Seriously, they could have added five more chapters to the end. Then it wouldn't take as long to be able to evolve.
in md2, you never have to reach a certain rank. the storyline is continous, sometimes there are times when you have to do a few "days" of just jobs, but only a few, then someone shows up/something happens to start a real mission.
Well, I love the concept and the plot seemed promising. I was just so, so disappointed when the gameplay killed it for me. :/ The main thing is that there are gaps where the plot will not continue until you reach some rank or some level or whatever, and there is absolutely no indication anywhere of exactly what rank or level this is; the game just leaves you there to aimlessly wander around doing random missions while hoping to reach whatever goal the game has set for you. If the plot of MD2 is completely ongoing, or at least there is some way to tell how many tedious missions you have left until something interesting happens, then I might give it a try.
And by cheated, I mean read it on bulbapedia, not hacked or anything. I don't cheat on video games.
Never played the original, so I'm not sure if MD2 is any better. the storyline was good, in my opinion, though. I cried at the end, even though I cheated and knew what was going to happen.
It is. But if the MD games aren't for you, then you probably won't like MD2. I'm still surprised that someone actually doesn't like the MD series. Do anyone else not like MD and MD2?
Beldum for spammifier! I trained my Beldum in Ruby to a Metagross!
Eh, I never even finished the original Mystery Dungeon. :/ The normal missions are just way too repetitive and tedious, there is no indication of when you'll get to the next plot-relevant bit, which managed to absolutely kill my drive to go on. In the middle of an absolutely godawful escort mission, I just gave up and haven't picked it up since.
If MD2 is a lot better in this department, I might get it, but otherwise it's just not my kind of game at all.
All the ones you answered were correct. *gives cookies* By the way, it's Spin Rotom. and 1a is $.
4b anyone?
*GASP* (Is shocked by the fact that Butterfree doesn't have MD2)
"Butterfree's Conscious": It's "conscience", and no, I have not started it. I honestly don't see why people are so desperate for a sprite generator; it's not as if you can't get the Platinum sprites already. :/
As for the quiz:
1a: Since you said "including glitches", this is obviously Missingno. in some form, although it's kind of ridiculous to ask any questions like this "including glitches"; they're not actually Pokémon.
1b: Shuckle and Munchlax
1c: Attack form Deoxys
2: Rotom, Froslass and Shedinja
3: I believe it has to be the one with Air Slash; Slash Rotom, was it?
4a: 1/8192. Why are you asking about this in a guestbook where the number is at the top of the posting form?
4b: Don't know, since I don't have the game and can't say I plan on getting it.
4c: One, the red Gyarados in G/S/C.
… *doesn't attempt to take quiz out of laziness*
For the first time in my life, I have a Parasect on my team, along with an Alakazam. So far, they kick ass. I'm not sure why I didn't use them before.
*is bored*
*recommend using Bulbapedia, not recommend to using.
It's time for… A random quiz!
(This one actually has answers, for those of you that were around six months ago)
I'd recommended to using Bulbapedia.
1a Which Pokemon (Including glitches) has both the lowest speed stat and the highest attack stat?
b Which two Pokemon (not including glitches) have the lowest speed start?
c Which Pokemon (again, not including glitches) has the highest attack stat without using moves?
2 Which three ghost types aren't classified as purple or black by the Pokedex?
3 Which of Rotom's forms (Heat Rotom, Frost Rotom, etc.) Has the lowest power Special Move?
4a What are the chances of running into a shiny Pokemon in the wild?
b How many shiny Pokemon are there in Mystery Dungeon 2?
c In all the generations, how many catchable shinies are you guaranteed to encounter?
I'll give the winner cookies…Unless I eat them myself. >:D
