Update

11/02/26: Twenty-Four

It's been twenty-four years
of blood, sweat and tears.
Happy birthday, dear website!
New server and cheers!

The Cave of Dragonflies is twenty-four years old today, and following the forums the other day, the main site has now been moved over to a shiny new server, which should be better, more secure and hopefully nicer for me to work with.

As usual with any such technical upgrade, it's possible something broke somewhere in the process, so please let me know if you bump into anything odd. I wanted to have something more interesting ready for the anniversary, but unfortunately this whole moving servers thing has been a massive headache and I have not really had any time to spare until that was done. But once I've confirmed this update has been successfully pushed to the new site, I plan to attempt to do a little fix to the last modified dates on everything, since right now everything says it was last modified yesterday and that's really not very useful. Fingers crossed and I will add an edit if it works.

UPDATE EDIT: All right, I think it worked. Happily, this should have also fixed the way all last modified dates got reset on the old server a little while back - now there are some last modified dates going back to 2016 (but no further than that, since 2016 was the great Python migration and everything got remade and reorganized at that time).

It probably won't be an ongoing issue but I think the server move ended up sending out a bunch of RSS feed entries, since I got 6 (not including this one) that are older ones.

Also a tiny little thing that may or may not be a new bug, but hovering over the E-mail address input while writing a comment puts a Butterfree in it. At least, the feet of one anyway. It's kind of funny but I doubt it's intended.
