Yes; click the "Options" tab next to "Found Favorites" and then check "Regional variants" under "Include forms". Note that by default they will be classified as the generation that introduced the regional variant (e.g. VII for Alolan forms); if you're also filtering by generation and would like to see regional variants of the Pokémon in that generation, you'll also want to select "Count forms as generation of base Pokémon" instead of "generation of introduction".

In Colosseum, once you've purified all the Shadow Pokémon, you can get a Ho-Oh by clearing Mt. Battle in Battle Mode. I don't think anything like that is unlocked when you've purified every Pokémon in XD, though it has been a long time.

Late, but this was such a CURSED April Fool's idea, it's delightful! In hindsight I totally should have anticipated that you might do something in this vein. I can see what you meant about the writing part being a bit tricky.
