I never said that I'd never get used to them - indeed, I realized from the beginning that I will eventually get used to them. But, that doesn't change how much I dislike them now.
But, you are right. It's not important, and I need to move on.
Talking about the things I do like about the new games…
Several of the Pokemon are just really cool. My top five of this generation are Daikenki, Rankurusu, Kirikizan, and Tsunbeaa, Zeburaika, all of which, save the last two, will also go onto my list of all time favorites.
The season mechanic was a good idea - I really like the idea that, when I save my game and come back to it a long time afterward, it won't be the same. I was disappointed at the lack of real time seasons (I blame Animal Crossing!), but, still, it's nice to have seasons nonetheless.
Team Plasma seems more… realistic and farsighted than the previous teams (excluding Team Rocket). While the other teams were trying to (essentially) physically remodel the world into their ideal version of it, Team Plasma is trying to change social / societal ideas about Pokemon, which, in my opinion, is much more interesting.
Also, the games represent a true reboot of the series, something both the Hoenn and Sinnoh games tried (and failed) to do. The Hoenn and Sinnoh games retained some old Pokemon (such as Zubat) in much the same roles as before. In these, all the Pokemon are new, so (this is, of course, an assumption on my part) the games have a very new feel to them.
Of, course, there is likely much more than the stuff listed. I have yet to play the games.

(For the record, that's more just general mental illness than something related to the pokey mans - Giratina is simply a muse for my own menhera, but those types of Christians operate more on fear than logic.)
I am glad this website is still active. I used to spend hours reading this website when I was younger. I was particularly fond of the marquee of doom! I took inspiration and made my own webpage back in 2008 (it was called pokemon-nonsense) but that page is long gone. I am now 31. Just wanted to leave a comment!

The site has been here since 2002; this particular guide is from 2010. I'm guessing you were looking at the last modified date on the page? I did a general backend overhaul last year that unfortunately resulted in everything being shown as last modified on that date, so a recent modified date does not necessarily mean the actual content is recent.
Replaying heart gold for the first time since I was like 8 (genuinely have no clue how I managed to beat it back then lmaooo). I'm only on the fourth gym rn but this is still pretty helpful!

Most everyone does. I'd say more people speak English here than Icelandic, actually, since at any given time there are a lot of recent immigrants who haven't had a reason or chance to learn Icelandic.
I'm probably not the best person to ask about hotels in Reykjavík either! I just live here; I have never had to book a hotel in my own city.
For things to do in the city, I tend to take friends up in the clock tower of Hallgrímskirkja, see if they want to try to go whale- or puffin-watching, and might also suggest things like the whale museum (which has a bunch of full-scale models of whales that give you a much better sense of the size of these creatures). Also, Brauð & co. makes excellent cinnamon rolls.

I enjoyed the Medal Rally during my own playthrough; never played all that much Pokéstar Studios. I'm afraid those aren't a high priority for me as content goes - I don't really think I'd have anything to say or contribute about these features that wouldn't just be looking up information that's already been dug up by others and repeating it, which generally isn't a type of content I go for.
Hi, what did you think of the Medals and Pokestar Studios in Black and White 2?
Personally, I liked Pokestar Studios much better than the Nimbasa Musical.
I'd love to see a guide for the Medals, Hidden Grottos, and/or Pokestar Studios if you'd like, but I know real life takes priority and you have a baby/toddler Caterpie now.

I'm the last person to oppose to dirty jokes but I feel quite innocently about the intention behind the "hook" line? Personally I feel it was intended just as a cute metaphor for upid's arrow!

I loved the original as a kid. If I remember correctly, I think it was about looking for Misdreavus on Crystal? I like this version a lot too, and it's more detailed, but I think I prefer the old version (probably for nostalgia; I read that version a ton when I was maybe eleven). I really like the concept, especially since it's very slice-of-life and I appreciate that. I think the new version was from 2006-ish, and I remember when it came out. I'm so glad it's still here.

You may have read the old version, but Butterfree didn't leave in that one either; the tone of the ending was more bittersweet, though, so that may be why you felt like Butterfree had left at the end. (In the old version, the narrator hadn't had this proper realization that the problem was they should have communicated properly about this dynamic and what they each wanted, and the narrator thus ended up still unsure whether Butterfree was truly happy to be with them, though they ended up sort of forcibly convincing themselves they had to be.)
This story scared me as a kid.
