Thank goodness that the Vatican said that it was okay, because it is.

I think that the stealing part came from the move Thief. Also, I think that Satanism beliefs settled down after this, but I think that after Arceus is revealed, it might be revived due to it being on the level of a god.

Sorry for posting three times in a row, but I ventured further into the site with the article that Greenumbreon pulled out.

I'm ******* ticked off.

Read this. Now they're saying that Catholicism is evil. Do you know how offending that is to me, being a Catholic? They are saying that it pretty much supports the devil. I hope the person who wrote that is shot in the eye.

One last thing.

"The game becomes reality to them and pulls them into the story like they were really there. This is what the game was meant to do. It is dangerous, because your mind is busy focusing on things that God hates, rather than on things God loves."

So movies, books, and other video games are evil too, I presume?

O_O "Mewter?" That cracked me up. Other than that, oh my gook that first page that you posted Greenumbreon was insanely stupid. Pokemon encourages us to steal, poison, and cheat?

First off, how the hell does it encourage us to steal? You can't steal anything in the games, and the only stealing committed is by the evil team.

Poison is the stupidest thing I read there. We're encouraged to poison? In that case, we're also encouraged to paralyze, freeze, confuse, and put someone to sleep. Plus we're also being encouraged to heal and defend. Good grief.

I just don't know where they got off with cheating.

So stupid. When Arceus comes to the U.S, the movie will probably air once on Cartoon Network, have some huge uproar about it, the movie be banned, and then things will settle down again. Thankfully, I don't think it will affect me.

In other news, I had the hardest time trying to beat Gardenia today, mainly because my traded Chatot continued to disobey me. O_O It was bothersome.

It still accurately portrays some people's views on pokemon. And a lot of the stuff in it is from other things that I've read before. So most of it has been writen by serious people. Some person just pasted them together to sum up the general religous-anti-pokemon-stuff.

Feraligatr for the spammifier. I wonder, does feraligatr's name imply that it's actually feral? Or is that feral part just there because it sounds better than Wildgator?

I noticed that after I posted. :P But the other three aren't.

You, uh, do know that Landover Baptist is a parody, right? o_0

Yeah. I thought that too. Chanting like that and burning the stuff sounds more demonic than anything. The real message in Pokemon is the importance of friends and friendship. Stuff like that. It's more in the anime than in the games, but its still there and you would have to be mentaly ill to think that the message is 'follow satan'

And horns/antlers are needed for 99% of the animals that have them, so if a pokemon is based of one of those animals then it would need the horns/antlers too. Lambs grow horns hors when they get older. If they're males. I think. Goats have horns most of their life. Even the females. And baby gaots are called kids. Young humans are called kids, too. If baby goats were demonic because they have horns, wouldn't it be a terrible thing to call young people kids?

And isn't Spammifier Shellos cute? And delicous. Must eat shellos…

Also, Greenumbreon, the second page was just weird. Pokemon chant their names!??? Pokemon's names are probably invented the same way as if dogs were called "bark," or cats were called "meow."

Also, you can tell that the writer was a newbie to the idea, because he or she thinks that evolving Pokemon DIE. That is totally wrong and I'll add it to the list of crazy things total strangers to Pokemon say about it, cause when I was little watching my cousin watch the show (My parents said I wasn't ready for it) I thought Pokemon was Ash's name.

And the third page- I won't even talk about it. It only said a couple of sentences, a couple in another language, then told us to use a pretty-much mediocre translation device.

GreenUmbreon, I think that the first one was written by someone who is so crazy that he tries to force a religion on a fantasy world. That guy, I guess, told lies to kids and made one man's imagination seem "bad." It's not "pocket demons," it's "pocket monsters!" Not those "bad" monsters, they mean "monsters" as the sense of the word kind of like when it refers to Elmo from Sesame Street. I hope that those games were new- it would be weird if he just stole Pokemon games from the neighborhood and burned them. The children's chanting, ironically, seems like they're acting like "Junior Satanists" themselves. Paragraphs 8 and 9 are so twisted and wrong that it makes me want to sue the writer because it's in a news article, not Anti-Pokemon fanfiction. Also, they don't know the point of Pokemon if they think it teaches them they can be a "powerful evil force" because the main characters constantly try to thwart evil every episode of the show and in the games, they try to stop the evil Team Rocket who did some terrible things themselves. On the next paragraph, it looks like that guy wasted money on those things and probably caused a flat-tire incident. On the NEXT paragraph— HORNS!??? Bulls have horns, and rhinoceri have horns, and even LAMBS have horns! (Or do they get them when they grow up? I'm not a sheep expert, I just looked on Wikipedia)

Typhloise, that page cracked me up. "All other religions were created by Satan?" That's preposterous! Also, it's just silly that just calling yourself "Wizards of the Coast" is bad. And making yourself a god is NOT the same as being a really good Pokemon trainer. Those people are just trying to merge a religion with a world that contradicts it. (the Pokemon World) Also, the games were made in JAPAN, where people tried to make people Christian, but mostly failed except for those rare Japanese Christians. But anyone catching and controlling Arceus willy-nilly, well that is bad, but let's think about it- if Arceus was on the level of a deity in the Pokemon world, anyone who tried to make himself on its level WOULD be disobeying an equivalent of the "don't try to be like God" commandment. Like Team Galactic tried to do that. But no random person,(not even Team Galactic) could capture Arceus with any Pokeball, not even a Master Ball possibly, let alone get to the Hall of Origin, unless they were chosen to do so. The player character is a hero in the plotline, thwarting Galactic's evil plans, and proving him/herself to be a Trainer pure of heart and worthy of using the battling power of Arceus(but nothing beyond that)

There would be some pretty big controversy if kids were "allowed to become the master of God".

There's also this page or this one, or this one. Get my point? You probably did with the first on, but ah well.

Spammifier Spearow!

[19/07/2008 14:42:14]

Greenumbreon

Typhloise is right, I think. I was the one who proposed the idea, that if the kind of people who hated pokemon for simple reasons like 'abra can read the minds of living things around it so it knows when to teleport to safety' found out that "Nintendo is letting our poor children think it's OK to capture God (Arceus) and force him to fight things! Satan must be behind this!" would run a campaign to get pokemon banned. It's not so much now as it was during that fad, but just read this! It's a pretty old page, but still. There are people who think of pokemon that way.

And on the brighter side, remoraid for the spammifier! I'm gonna have fish for lunch!

Remoraid: O.O

[19/07/2008 14:20:16]

I'm not talking about the people that play Pokemon, I'm talking about the people that play Pokemon's religious family members. I know a kid who's Christen, and he loves Pokemon. The problem is, his grandparents are extremely religious, and don't want him playing the games.

And I decided I'm going to try to fill out my national dex on Pearl. I'm starting out trying to complete my Sinnoh dex first, then I can just transfer over the other Pokemon from Firered and Emerald. I have every Pokemon in Emerald, and I just need Tauros and Kangaskan in Firered. (Stupid Safari Area!!!) And I'll just "borrow" my brother's Leafgreen and Diamond.

^w^ MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Hariyama for spammifier! I had a Hariyama on my Emerald team!

Well, with some rigorous training, I got Jynx, Flygon (speaking of that, Vibrava for Spammy McGee) Furret and Tyranitar (angelic choir sings) but that last one was obtained on the GTS. I think that Butterfree DID put Arceus in here, but you just didn't find it yet.

This rigorous training I will apply to my new "To Train" PC box to get Pokemon that I renamed.

Typhloise: Honestly, I doubt many people would care, seeing as a lot of games have gods of the worlds and no one complains about them (except for the uber religious folk, but theres nothing you can do about them)

Poliwag for the spammifier - I read that that pink think it has is its mouth, not its nose. It looks so much less cute now :(

[19/07/2008 05:11:37]

Arceus's data is in the games. Nintendo can't really do anything about it. Anyway, Arceus.com is already registered.

[18/07/2008 20:51:50]

Typhloise

I thought that might be it. And I've never seen a spammifier Arceus. Ever. I don't think it would be smart for Nintendo to release Arceus. If they did, all the Christen people would go crazy.

Drifloon for spammifier! So baloonish… and floatyish… Who would imagine it likes to carry children off to "UNKNOWN WORLDS!!!

[18/07/2008 17:10:26]

EvilPenguin

I'd imagine that Butterfree would be nice enough to keep the fact that Arceus exists a secret from the only pokemon fan in the world who doesnt know about it. :P

CM: By evolvable, hink Budew means that its with in only a couple of levels of evolveing, instead of like 15
