Gotta Spell 'em All
It has always annoyed me a lot when Pokémon names are misspelled, for example Ninetales (as "Ninetails").
I asked once at another forum why the codes for their Pokémon emoticons were in the format of for example :001: for Bulbasaur, rather than simply :bulbasaur:. The answer was that some people didn't know how to spell the Pokémon names.
This led to me, when I made a similar system for my old forums, purposefully making it so that one would need to know the correct spelling of the name. I simply believed that it was ridiculous that Pokémon fans didn't know how to spell Pokémon names, and if they didn't, I shouldn't be going out of my way to make things easier for them. Basically, the thought was that people would have to learn to spell the Pokémon if they wanted to be able to use my sprite system.
I have done similar things many times later - in the Pokémon Sprite Generator, there is no way to access a sprite of the Pokémon you want unless you can spell its name since there is deliberately no sort of "fuzzy search", and in the (discontinued) Complete Unabridged Pokémon Encyclopedia Pokédex project I coded it so that entering one of some selected misspellings will give you a kind of parody Pokédex entry, containing for example how many Google results there are for the correct spelling versus how many there are for the misspelling. Basically, although in a way it's kinda nasty of me, I give those who can't spell Pokémon names as much annoyance as I can.
But since I am so annoying about it, shouldn't I tell you how to spell them properly? That is what this section is for - it's thought as a list where you can look up the Pokémon whose name you want to spell.
