The morals of pokémon
OK... I decided to revamp this section a bit. Now, it will have a detailed review of the morals of each movie.
Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back + The Birth of Mewtwo + Mewtwo Returns
Mewtwo is definitely a very important Pokémon. He had three special things made about him; one movie, one special episode and one radio drama, and what's more, he truly deserves this attention because his story is the main ethical theme of Pokémon.
The movie alone is rather out of context, so I'll be taking a closer look at the whole of Mewtwo's story rather than one part at a time. I'll also go through it in real-time order...
The Birth of Mewtwo starts with a thought about space and some introduction to the way new Pokémon were always discovered. Very nice little prologue to the story of the first cloned Pokémon, to my opinion - it emphasizes the way new Pokémon are always discovered, just talking about the way there were always new and new Pokémon.
The boss of Team Rocket at the time is Giovanni's mother. Jessie's mother, Miyamoto, is also working at Team Rocket, but she gave Jessie up to be a foster child because she lives for money - just like everybody in Team Rocket (however, she later shows that she's really more just "being like the boss", because she really cares about Jessie). When the story starts, Miyamoto is giving the boss a record tape from a South American forest. After eliminating all the normal forest sounds, all that appears to be left on the tape is a country song. Miyamoto explains that this country song is in honour of the rarest Pokémon in the world - one called Mew. After eliminating the song from the tape, a small cry of "Mew, mew" can still be heard.
Now, basically, Miyamoto goes to catch Mew. She goes half-crazy there of worries about her daughter Jessie, and in the end Team Rocket stop picking up her radio signals and that was the last that was seen of her.
Once Giovanni became the boss of Team Rocket
