Well, there are now two kinds of awards. The badges, which simply have special requirements your site must fulfil, and if it does you get one, and the "webmaster's choice" awards, which simply need me to like your site. Let's start with the badges, which are actually the badges of the Ouen league from my fanfic...
You can only win badges if:
Element badge
There's nothing special you need to win the Element badge; just the above.
Shining badge
To get the shining badge, your site must have some nice bit of content on it. So you won't get this one if your site is new or if everything is "under construction". Have you noticed that nothing on this site is "under construction"? Because I don't think there is a point in having a page just to have it say "This page is currently under contruction". But it's up to you, of course... I'm just saying you won't get this badge if all your pages are under construction...
Venom badge
To get the Venom badge, your site must be updated every now and then.
Surf badge
To get the Surf badge, you must put some personal thoughts in the content on your site. Even better if it has some humour.
Leaf badge
To get the Leaf badge, you must have a personal section of some sort. It can be something about yourself, your opinions on something, your fanfics, etc.
Light badge
To get the Light badge, you must have a section about the pokémon gameboy games (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby and Sapphire) and it must have something about each game. It's better if it's not just a review of the game, and must NOT be something copied-and-pasted from somewhere else. I want to see something you've worked on...
Lava badge
To get the Lava badge, your site must look nice. That includes easy navigation, nice colors, some pictures, and being able to read the text on the background without having to highlight it.
Darkness badge
To get the Darkness badge, you must have games of some sort, a "do not click here", forums, just anything interactive on your site.
Now, you may be wondering why I'm showing off the badges here for anyone to steal. But, they have no meaning just like that. If you've actually won the award, you'll get one nice image with all the badges you've achieved, and your site's name on it. Remember to hyperlink it to my site...
Then, the Webmaster's choice award... then you just ask for one with your site's address, and if I like it, you get one, regardless of how many badges you'd get. There are actually three of them... the Fire pokémon Bronze award, the Ice pokémon Silver award, and the Electric pokémon Gold award. Depending on how much I like it.
When you ask for an award, be sure to include which you want, badges or Webmaster's choice.
